Our City:
Bias and Community in the City of Boston

Boston Children’s Museum, Boston MA

After decades of presenting engaging and age-appropriate exhibits that address challenging subjects, the Boston Children’s Museum is preparing to launch its most ambitious project yet, the development of Our City. Within our current state of devisive public rhetoric and notable uptick in racism and religious bias, the institution is uniquely positioned to empower young children and their caregivers to confront and address critical issues of identity, diversity and inclusion, justice, and action in society. With this renovation of more than 4,000 square feet of gallery space, the museum will seek to empower their half million visitors a year. The museum will be a true meeting ground where adults gain critical tools to help the children they love, and together become change-agents to build a more just and empathetic future.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a collaborator that is equal parts diligent, persistent, and efficient unless you are working with Dan. Somehow he manages to showcase a wealth of expertise around all things art, design, and engineering with a healthy dose of humor to keep everyone informed, engaged and on task. The most quiet characteristic that makes working with Dan invaluable is his ability to support the growth of his fellow collaborators while simultaneously learning from them. If you believe in the concept of “iron sharpens iron’, adding Dan to your project is key to successfully sourcing answers together and creating artful outcomes with positive impact.
